Turbo Trails★ Original

A PlayTrova original racing game: pick a car or a motorbike, then take on today's time trial, four computer racers, a friend on the same screen, or the never-ending highway.

How to play Turbo Trails

  1. Pick a trail and your ride in the garage: a car (higher top speed, steady) or a motorbike (quicker off the line, sharper steering).
  2. Your vehicle speeds up by itself. Steer with ◀ ▶ (or the arrow keys / A and D) to stay on the road — the grass and sand slow you right down.
  3. On bends you slide towards the outside, so steer into the turn early. Bump into trees, rocks or buildings and you'll stop for a moment.
  4. Drive over the glowing blue pads for a free boost. When your nitro bar is full, press ⚡ (or Space) for a big burst of speed.
  5. Finish the laps first to win. On the endless highway, reach each checkpoint before the timer runs out and see how far you can go.

Strategy tips

  • Stay on the tarmac: one wheel on the grass costs more time than a slightly wide line.
  • Save nitro for long straights. Firing it just before a sharp bend usually throws you off the road.
  • Line up the blue boost pads in advance — they sit in the middle of a lane.
  • Tap the brake (■ or ↓) just before the tightest corners in Neon City and Desert Canyon.
  • On the highway, change lanes early: trucks are wide, and a crash costs you precious seconds.
  • Snowy Pass is slippery — steer a little earlier into every bend.

Three ways to play

Solo: time trial — a fresh challenge every day, the same for everyone. vs Computer: four characters from Rookie Robo (easy) to Grandmaster Owl (expert); beat each one to earn its star. vs Friend: share one screen — perfect on a tablet.

Variants

Five trails: Sunny Beach (gentle bends by the sea), Green Valley (rolling hills and farms), Desert Canyon (long straights and sharp turns), Snowy Pass (winding and a little slippery) and Neon City (tight corners at night). Races are 1, 2 or 3 laps. Solo has a daily time trial on today's trail (the same for everyone), a practice mode where you race a see-through ghost of your best run, and the Endless Highway, where the road never ends and the scenery changes as you go.

About Turbo Trails

Turbo Trails is a PlayTrova original, inspired by the classic arcade racers that drew the road in 3D with simple shapes. Everything — the trails, the palm trees, the cars and the motorbikes — is drawn by the game itself, so it loads fast and plays offline once installed. It's made for short, happy races: the car accelerates on its own, the controls are just left, right, brake and nitro, and the computer racers range from the wobbly Rookie Robo to Grandmaster Owl, who knows every bend.

FAQ

Is Turbo Trails free?

Yes. It's free to play in your browser with no sign-up and no downloads. Install PlayTrova as an app and you can even race offline.

Can two players race on one device?

Yes. Choose vs Friend: on a laptop the screen splits side by side (A/D/W/S against the arrow keys), and on a phone or tablet the two halves face each other so you can sit across the table.

Car or motorbike — which is faster?

The car has a slightly higher top speed and holds the road better; the motorbike accelerates faster and steers more sharply. Both can win every race.

What is the Endless Highway?

An unlimited drive: the road keeps going, the scenery changes from beach to valley, desert, snow and city, and traffic gets busier. Reach each checkpoint before the clock runs out — your best distance is saved.

How do I beat Grandmaster Owl?

Stay off the grass, take boost pads, and fire nitro on straights. The Owl never makes mistakes, so a clean race is the only way!
